Filipino Club Mission Immersion

St. John’s School’s Filipino Club has just been re-organized and  have had an exciting list of activities lined up for the school year, including a Mission-Exposure-Immersion trip to the Philippines.

During Spring break, March 21-29, students and group advisers took a trip to Baguio City, a highly urbanized city located in the province of Benguet, in northern Luzon island of the Philippines.

A look at the ministries of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines, including tours of the church sponsored ministries at Brent School and rural/urban communities, opened a window of knowledge of the Filipino people and church. Students explored how they are linked by culture and ethnic ties to the Filipino people in the bonds of global solidarity.
