SJS Supports International Coastal Cleanup

On September 19, more than a thousand island residents came  out to 25 different sites for the 21st annual Guam International Coastal Cleanup, led by The Bureau of Statistics and Plans’ Guam Coastal Management Program.
There was a HUGE SJS presence and the coordinators there certainly took notice. While many  students worked in groups walking the beach and picking up a lot of trash, a large St. John’s crew stayed behind at the end to helped sort all the trash that came in, a job that no one wants to do so it was much appreciated. Volunteers managed to sort and clean up every item, finishing everything up before 10.30 am.
