St. John’s School announced that they have had five students identified as National Merit Semi-Finalists.
Last October, 1.4 million students from more than 22,000 high schools entered the National Merit program when they took the PSAT. From that group, the National Merit program selected 16,000 students throughout the world as semi-finalists based on their performance on the PSAT.
10 students from Guam were identified as semi-finalists; 5 of those students are from St. John’s School.
St. John’s would like to congratulate Ethan Wahl, Jin Shin, Catherine Chung, Maggie Zeng, and Veronica Chua for achieving this honor.
These academically talented students will compete for 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth about $33 million that will be offered next spring.
