API Club Donates to Guma San Jose Homeless Shelter

A donation of $500 was made recently to the Guma San Jose Homeless Shelter by the Asia Pacific International Club of St. John’s.  The API Club is a student organization that raises awareness of, and funds for, community initiatives around our Asia Pacific Region.  It raised funds for Guma San Jose, a 15-22 bed facility, which provides 24-hour shelter for up to 60 days for families and/or individuals who are in need of emergency shelter due to unusual circumstances.

Pictured at the check presentation are, from left to right, Cait Gayle, API Advisor, Luna Puangco, API Member, Terry Mortera, Guma San Jose Program Manager, Andy Gayle, API President, Christian Iglesias, API Treasurer, and Trey Larsen, API Secretary.
