St. John’s Classes Participate in Quarter Hour Without Power

In observance of World Energy Conservation Day on December 14, 2018, several St. John’s classes participated in the Quarter Hour Without Power that began from 10 AM to 10:15 AM. Teachers were encouraged to turn off their lights and unplug their appliances for fifteen minutes. Classrooms functioned normally in spite the lack of power present.

World Energy Conservation Day is celebrated annually to promote mass awareness on the importance of energy efficiency and conservation, as well as advocate global energy reduction by utilizing eco-friendly methods such as cranking open windows for sunlight and letting in natural air to cool down rooms.
