St. John’s Students Among 2019 Dream Car Art Contest Winners

Two of St. John’s creative, young artists won in their respective age category at this year’s Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. Eighth grader, Seungho (Sunny) Kang won first place in the 12 to 15 age category and fifth grader, Vinicia Kim for winning third place in the 8 to 11 age category. The Toyota Dream Art Contest is one of the largest global art contests for children that encourage and inspire creativity. Children are tasked to illustrate their “Dream Car” using coloring pencils, crayons, watercolors or markers, with the exception of digital tools.

Sunny’s artwork will be submitted to the world contest where a jury panel in Japan will select 30 finalist – 10 finalists for each age category. World Contest winners are invited to Japan to attend the Award Ceremony in August.
