On Saturday, April 6th, 2019, the St. John’s School Chapter of the National Honor Society performed a Beautification and Volunteering Project for Guma Trankilidat, the manamko (senior) center in Tamuning.
The focus of the project was to help with the overall beautification of the facility and to connect with the elders, in addition to the goal of having the NHS students give back to the community.
Students painted curbs, helped with gardening, and conversed with the residents that enlightened them about what Guam was like before their time.
