5th Grader, Grace Kang Wins Three Music Awards in Seoul

St. John’s 5th grader, Grace (HoYoung) Kang had an eventful spring break, winning multiple music awards in Seoul, South Korea. She returned to Guam with a total of three awards from two separate competitions. Grace won 1st place in the piano, grade 5 division and 2nd place in the violin, grade 5 division at the National Student Music Competition held at Ewha Women’s University, Seoul, South Korea on March 23, 2019. The competition was organized by the Seoul Music Youth Education Committee. She won a scholarship from the Committee.

She also competed at the 14th Seoul Arts Competition on March 30th where she won first place for playing the violin in the 5th grade division. She will participate at the winners concert at Youngsan Art Hall, Seoul, South Korea on June 2, 2019.
