Christmas Concerts 2019

The Dale Jenkins Gymnasium was filled with the holiday spirit on December 6 as students showcased their musical prowess at the annual Christmas Concerts. The lower school concert was held in the morning, followed by the middle and upper school concert in the afternoon. The lower school concert included performances by the kindergarten to fifth grade class, Handbell Ensemble, Lower School Choir, Beginner’s String Orchestra, and the Beginner’s Band. The morning concert closed with all of the lower school students performing “All I Want for Christmas Is You”.

The middle and upper school concert included performances by the SJS Orchestra, Handbell Ensemble, MS Choir and Band, US Band, and Glee Club. This year’s middle and upper school concert was dedicated to the St. John’s School maintenance and office staff. A special number, “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” was performed by the Faculty Band. Members of the Tri-M Music Honor Society came forth to present a “Thank You” card given to each maintenance and office staff. The Faculty Band, alongside the maintenance and office staff also performed a surprise number, “Feliz Navidad”. The Glee Club ended the afternoon concert with the performances that won them first place in the high school division at this year’s Agana Shopping Center Holiday Songfest, including “Various Themes on Fa-la-la”, “Breath of Heaven”, and “You Will Be Found”.

The administration, faculty, and staff at St. John’s School would like to wish all the students and their families a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
