Class of 2021 Donates Toys to Harvest House

Each year, students from the Class of 2021 would typically host a Christmas present exchange among themselves. During this holiday season, the class decided to purchase and donate toys for foster children and foster families on Guam through Harvest House.

“With the pandemic ongoing, we weren’t sure if prom or graduation would take place. Even if the events are to happen, we expect them to occur on smaller scales and anticipate an overflow in our funds,” said Class of 2021 president, Olivia Wen.

On December 11, Class of 2021 officers visited Harvest House to donate various toys valued at $1,000. “Through the word of mouth, we heard the nonprofit was collecting toys and thought it’d be a fun way to get the class engaged instead of donating a check to the foster care shelter,” stated the class president. She pointed out that during the holiday season, it is especially important to remember that this donation might be the only gift a child receives.
