Summer Photography Art Class

Kids Photography Class

Designed for individuals in grades 6 and up,  the photography art class aims to engage students in a different and fun way so that basic principles of image building can be easily absorbed. The class will explore the formal elements (line, shape, color, value) in art with the use of a camera. Basic techniques of photography will be taught such as how to hold the camera and where your light source is. Students will learn how to use a photograph/picture to create other projects using mediums like paints and pencils as well as explore the use of creating a scene or image using non-traditional materials such as food. This class uses any type of digital camera including a DSL, point and shoot, and even smart phones.
